FAQ

What is The Summit?

The Summit is Rocky Mountain College’s own student-run newspaper. While the newspaper has taken on several names throughout the years, “The Summit” was established in 2012. It is a newspaper that is mentored by RMC faculty but largely led and run at the student level. Issues are released every two weeks, with articles on RMC-related, local, national, or international news, as well as opinion columns and comics.

Can I write for The Summit?

Of course! We are always looking for new contributors to include more RMC voices in the paper. Contact Tressa Nopper at her Rocky email to find out more.

When does The Summit meet?

The staff and contributors meet every week via Google Meet.

Do I get paid for articles?

Not only that, but you also get paid for contributing photos. Every article contributor earns $50 for every article that gets printed, and photo contributors receive $15 for every printed photo.

Do you have a Facebook page?

Yes, we do! Like us at https://www.facebook.com/Summit.rocky.edu/?ref=hl to follow the latest articles, news, and meeting information.
