FAQ

What is The Summit?

The Summit is Rocky Mountain College’s own student-run newspaper. While the newspaper has taken on several names throughout the years, “The Summit” was established in 2012. It is a newspaper that is mentored by RMC faculty, but largely led and run at the student level. Issues are released every two weeks, with articles on RMC-related, local, national, or international news, as well as opinion columns and comics.

Can I write for The Summit?

Of course! We are always looking for new contributors to include more RMC voices in the paper. Contact us at summit@rocky.edu or stop by one of our meetings.

When does The Summit meet?

The staff and contributors meet every Monday night in the library basement at 4:30 pm (Room A110).

Do I get paid for articles?

Not only that, but you also get paid for contributing photos. Every article contributor earns $40 for every article that gets printed, and photo contributors receive $12 for every printed photo.

Do you have a Facebook page?

Yes we do. Like us at https://www.facebook.com/Summit.rocky.edu/?ref=hl to follow the latest articles, news, and meeting information.
