Autumn

My best friend was born in October-

My love, in late November-

And my beloved sister,

But a week before.

And for reasons I can’t remember

Be it the sweaters or the weather

Or the sweeping orange splendour

I love Autumn all the more.

Split

If I could split myself

So I could be home

And here

Then here would be home

To have you near-

To hold you as my own-

If I could split myself

I would never be alone.
