About Us

What is The Summit?

The Summit is Rocky Mountain College’s own student-run newspaper. While the newspaper has taken on several names throughout the years, “The Summit” was established in 2012. It is a newspaper that is mentored by RMC faculty but largely led and run at the student level. Articles are regularly posted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with articles on RMC-related, local, national, or international news, as well as opinion columns and comics.

Can I write for The Summit?

Of course! We are always looking for new contributors to include more RMC voices in the paper. Contact Sydney Weaver at her Rocky email to find out more.

When does The Summit meet?

The staff and contributors meet every week Wednesday @ 4 pm in the library basement.

Do I get paid for submitting articles?

Yes, you do! Every article contributor earns $20 for every article that gets published.

Do you have a Facebook/Instagram page?
